Here are a few of the ways that Dr. Renee recommends you stay healthy during allergy season:

1. Make certain you have an allergist diagnose you in fact have seasonal allergies. There is a free screening test at You want to make certain your discomfort is season allergies and not something else. GO TO THE DOCTOR

2.. Take Cold-EEZE at the FIRST sign of symptoms (scratchy throat, sneezing, coughing etc.) (I will have a future post about Cold-EEZE)

3. Take an antihistamine when you feel allergy season is coming. (Usually about 3 days)

4. Make it a habit checking the allergen counts everyday. Most morning weather news stories will include that information. Also our lovely smartphones can give you this information. Go to the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology’s National Allergy Bureau for up-to-date pollen counts—you can even sign up for email alerts or download a smartphone app that tracks pollen counts.
